Reclaiming Our Greatness is a local non-profit organization that provides case management and systems navigation support for school aged children and their families who experience multiple moves during the school year.

Reclaiming Our Greatness has established relationships with Seattle Public Schools’ family support workers, community partnerships division, McKinney-Vento liaisons, staff, and students. The organization has worked with Seattle Public Schools elementary students and families impacted by homelessness, education, and our juvenile justice system during their time of enrollment. We have worked in collaboration with families to identify and address the root causes of housing instability.

​Marshaun Barber serves as the Executive Director of Reclaiming Our Greatness. 

Jimmy Hurd

The Holgate Street Church of Christ has been a pillar in the Central District of Seattle since the late 1960s. Holgate has opened up its space to host activities and events including week long day camps for elementary school children

and weekly spiritual and social guidance classes for young people. ​

​In addition, the Church has supported parents by hosting roundtable sessions centered on preparing families for success with their children in life and in the school setting. The Church has created a healthy and stable environment for community members to learn, worship, and voice their needs. It has supported family voices and have used its resources to provide positive youth programming, meal support, and outreach to the Central District Community. 

​Jimmy Hurd serves as the Minister of the Holgate Street Church of Christ.
